A new study reports that Tulsa Remote has generated more than $4 in local economic benefits for every dollar spent, stimulating economic growth for the whole city.

Tulsa Remote has welcomed over 3,500 talented remote workers to Tulsa already. With the help of the program’s financial incentives and community support systems, these individuals and their families have found a new home and life in Tulsa. And with a 95% retention rate since 2019, it’s clear that Tulsa Remote members agree—moving to Tulsa is worth it.

The more people who move to Tulsa, the more customers at local restaurants, businesses, and cultural institutions. But the program is making a much bigger impact than increasing local spending. Tulsa Remote members are also creating jobs by starting companies and hiring locally, and by helping existing businesses expand by increasing demand for their goods and services.

Tulsa Remote’s own research affirms this. Their 2024 Sustainable Growth & Economic Impact report found that Tulsa Remote members:

  • Collectively delivered more than $622 million to Tulsa’s economy.
  • Generated $30.5 million in county and state taxes.
  • Created more than 1,400 jobs.

Tulsa Remote is showing thousands what locals already know: this community is something special.
