Early Intervention in the Cycle of Poverty

Breaking the intergenerational cycle of poverty is GKFF's primary charitable interest. It is a core American value that every child should have an equal chance to succeed. Unfortunately, children born into poverty and distress often face nearly impossible odds. GKFF makes investments designed to improve the chances for these children and relies substantially on research showing that the best interventions take place early in life. For this reason, early childhood education and health care for young children and their mothers, including prenatal health, are core areas of interest for GKFF.
